He overhears Jared and his lover plotting to kill Jensen and take over the throne. In the end, instead of having Jared killed, Jensen sentences him to life as his dog. He treats him like a dog, making him sleep in the corner, etc. (No bestiality involved!) He even brings Misha home and makes Jared watch as Jensen and Misha make love. The whole time Jared is thinking that he will be able to win Jensen back.
